Lufutuko School

A day in the life of Lufutuko School
Where there was once an empty plot of African bush, there is now ten years later, the thriving Lufutuko Community School.

The school has a roll of approximately 250 pupils divided into classes covering Grade 1 to 7 using 4 class rooms.  Due to limited classroom space school takes place in two "sittings". The younger classes use the classrooms from early to late morning and the older classes use the classrooms from late morning to early afternoon.

From humble beginings, a volunteer teacher teaching in a rudimentary wooden structure, the school has thrived in just a few years. A number of grade 7 pupils have successfully passed the entrance examination to secondary school. Lufutuko acquired its first (four) computers in August 2009.
